Radio Regent Partnership with University of Toronto
Published: April 28th, 2025
The University of Toronto and the Focus Media Arts Centre (Radio Regent) have been partners for the past 5 years, bridging U of T students, local Regent Park Residents and Focus staff and volunteers to put together various projects about The Changing Culture of Regent Park. Such topics revolve around immigration and racial formation, urban renewal, housing redevelopment, public health, and community organizing. Ultimately, teams research, and produce their own media project addressing a specific neighbourhood issue in Regent Park. For 2025, they produced podcasts related to economic justice in Regent Park.
